Meet the Team
Join Cisco's Intersight Quality Engineering team, a globally distributed group across the United States and India focused on delivering secure, reliable cloud-based management experiences for modern data centers. The team includes engineers with broad experience across Cisco UCS, servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud-native platforms, test automation, and emerging AI technologies. We partner closely with Engineering, Program Management, Product Marketing, Sales, Technical Marketing, Customer Support, Services, and customer teams to translate real-world use cases into strong quality outcomes. Our culture values technical depth, continuous learning, constructive collaboration, and shared accountability. You will help shape how the organization applies advanced automation and AI-assisted engineering practices to improve product quality and customer experience.
Your Impact
Lead the quality strategy for cloud-based data-center management capabilities by defining risk-based test approaches, release criteria, automation priorities, and measurable quality outcomes. Influence architecture and feature design by partnering with developers, product leaders, and cross-functional teams to improve testability, diagnose complex defects, and drive issues to resolution. Design and evolve scalable Python-based automation frameworks, CI/CD quality gates, and infrastructure-validation solutions using Git, Selenium WebDriver, and cloud-native tooling. Apply generative AI and AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to accelerate test-case development, automation coding, log analysis, defect triage, and technical investigation while validating generated outputs and protecting sensitive information. Provide technical leadership across Cisco UCS environments, including Fabric Interconnects, chassis, blade and rack servers, adapters, operating systems, Nexus switching, and Fibre Channel infrastructure, while mentoring engineers and communicating release risks clearly.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related technical field, plus 10+ years of software quality-assurance or quality-engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading quality strategy, test planning, risk assessment, and release validation for SaaS enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, or microservices-based platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, object-oriented design, test-automation architecture, Git, CI/CD integration, and browser or API automation using Selenium WebDriver or equivalent tools.
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting data-center infrastructure, including rack and blade servers, chassis, adapters, Ethernet switching, Fibre Channel, storage, networking, and virtualization.
- Practical exposure to generative AI or AI-assisted engineering tools for test design, code generation, automation refactoring, log analysis, defect triage, or troubleshooting, with the ability to review outputs for accuracy, security, and maintainability.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification in Data Center, Enterprise, or a related networking discipline.
- Deep hands-on experience with Cisco UCS servers, Fabric Interconnects, Cisco Nexus 9000 Series switches, and Fibre Channel environments.
- Experience building or operating CI/CD pipelines and working with AWS, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native observability tools.
- Experience validating AI- or ML-enabled capabilities, including prompt and response evaluation, reliability, performance, safety, and failure-mode testing.
- Demonstrated technical leadership through architecture reviews, cross-functional decision-making, mentoring, and clear communication of quality and release risks across geographically distributed teams.
