Description
Position Summary
The Service Ambassador is a floor-wide hospitality role built to elevate the guest experience at every touchpoint. Far more than a food runner, this position is a hybrid of service delivery, guest experience support, and bar support — the connective tissue that keeps the floor running smoothly and the guest experience seamless. Service Ambassadors work closely with the Guest Experience and Operations Manager (GEO Manager) and bartenders, moving fluidly between roles as service demands. This position is also the primary training ground for future Servers and Bartenders, giving those who hold it firsthand exposure to every station on the floor.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Food & Beverage Delivery
? Deliver food and beverages promptly, accurately, and with attention to presentation and temperature.
? Confirm orders at the table against tickets before delivery; catch and correct errors before they reach the guest.
? Communicate proactively with kitchen and bar staff to keep pacing aligned with the guest experience.
Guest Experience Support
? Partner directly with the Guest Experience and Operations Manager to anticipate guest needs and resolve issues in real time.
? Read the room — notice empty glasses, cleared plates, special occasions, and unspoken needs before being asked.
? Serve as an extra set of eyes and hands across the dining room, stepping in wherever the guest experience needs support.
? Uphold house hospitality standards and represent the brand's tone and warmth in every guest interaction.
Bar Support
? Bar-back for bartenders during peak periods: restock garnishes, glassware, ice, and supplies.
? Support bar cleanliness and organization to keep service moving without interruption.
? Assist with basic beverage delivery and clearing at the bar as needed.
General Floor Support
? Clear, reset, and maintain tables to keep the floor guest-ready at all times.
? Assist servers with running side work, expediting, and general floor flow during high-volume periods.
? Maintain a working knowledge of the full menu, including ingredients, preparation, and allergens.
What Makes This Role Different
This is intentionally a hybrid role. Service Ambassadors are cross-trained across food running, guest experience, and bar support because the strongest floor teams are built from people who understand every part of service — not just one station. The role is treated as a valued position in its own right, and as the foundational step in our floor career path.
Qualifications
? Prior restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
? Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with the GEO Manager, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
? Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
? A genuine interest in hospitality and long-term growth within the floor career path.
? Ability to stand, walk, and carry loaded trays for extended periods.
Compensation
The Service Ambassador role is compensated at a base wage of $12.70 per hour, plus 15% of gratuities drawn from the total bar staff tip pool.
Growth Path
The Service Ambassador role is the entry point to our floor career ladder. Ambassadors who demonstrate strong menu knowledge, guest-read instincts, and GEO Manager sign-off are eligible to advance to Server or Bartender, and from there to Senior Server / Lead Bartender, and ultimately into floor leadership roles such as Guest Experience and Operations Manager.
