The PMO Finance Consultant ensures effective financial governance of all project and transformation spending. The role oversees budget planning, cost & benefit tracking, variance analysis, and spend optimization across the project portfolio. This position partners closely with Finance to align on budget strategy, enforce financial controls, and provide reliable reporting that supports sound investment decisions.Manage project and portfolio budgeting – Consolidate annual and quarterly budgets for all PMO‑led and cross-functional projects; ensure alignment to Finance strategy and organizational priorities. (~25%)Monitor and govern project spending – Track actuals vs. budget, validate utilization, flag variances, and enforce financial governance policies. Ensure spending remains within approved limits. (~25%)
Prepare financial reports and dashboards – Produce monthly and quarterly spend reports, forecasts, burn-rate analysis, and executive summaries for PMO and Management Committee. (~20%)
Coordinate with Finance on financial processes – Align on budget controls, capex/opex treatment, accruals, and financial timelines to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. (~10%)
Review financial requests and approvals – Evaluate PRs, contracts, SOWs, invoices, and change requests to ensure proper financial documentation and adherence to governance. (~10%)
Support portfolio decision-making – Provide financial insights for project prioritization, business cases, benefits tracking, and cost optimization initiatives. (~10%)
