Description
InGenesis is currently seeking Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) to work full time. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide treatment and support to patients. This role focuses on helping patients improve mobility, manage pain, and regain independence through prescribed therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans and corrective exercise programs as directed by a Physical Therapist
- Administer therapies such as therapeutic exercise, gait training, massage, traction, ultrasound, heat/cold therapy, and hydrotherapy
- Instruct patients on the proper use of medical equipment, including wheelchairs, crutches, braces, and prosthetic devices
- Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, and daily functional activities
- Monitor patient progress, observe responses to treatment, and report findings to the Physical Therapist
- Fit, adjust, and train patients on orthopedic braces and assistive devices such as walkers and canes
- Collaborate with physical therapy staff and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Communicate effectively with clinic staff and departments to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Perform other duties as assigned
