Description
Systems Engineer (Senior-Level)
Shape the Future of GEOINT Mission Systems
Mission Intelligence Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support some of the nation's most critical geospatial intelligence missions. This role offers the opportunity to work across complex enterprise environments, guiding the engineering of mission systems that deliver timely, accurate, and reliable GEOINT capabilities to national security stakeholders. If you thrive in large-scale systems engineering, technical leadership, and mission-focused innovation, we want to hear from you.
Your Role
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across the full systems engineering lifecycle, supporting the development, integration, and sustainment of complex GEOINT systems and services. You will guide engineering teams, translate mission needs into technical solutions, and help shape architectures that span cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and broader federal agency partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor junior and mid-level systems engineers across engineering activities and lifecycle processes.
- Guide requirements engineering, solutions engineering, systems integration, testing, evaluation, and sustainment efforts.
- Support the planning, analysis, and traceability of mission, user, and system requirements.
- Evaluate cloud service capabilities, workflow processes, and scheduling constraints to improve system performance.
- Develop and review solution designs based on operational needs, technical requirements, and emerging technologies.
- Assist government stakeholders in translating mission requirements into technical capabilities and system solutions.
- Analyze and allocate requirements across system architectures and executing programs.
- Perform systems integration activities across multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces.
- Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies, and engineering assessments.
- Support strategic technical planning, risk management, performance engineering, project management, and interface design.
- Integrate systems and capabilities across organizational and agency boundaries within major acquisition programs.
- Ensure engineering solutions support mission effectiveness, reliability, resiliency, and long-term maintainability.
