Job Description:
Essential duties:
- Operate trucks/ heavy equipment in all aspects of mining.
- Perform proper equipment startup and shut down procedures.
- Operate within acceptable range of all gauges on instrumentation panel.
- Perform all job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety policies, and state and federal environmental regulations.
- Practice defensive driving and operating at all times.
- Maintain a positive & constructive attitude towards safety, supervision and fellow employees.
Other duties:
- Work with other equipment in a safe and organized manner.
- Do utility work and operate utility equipment.
- Assist in maintenance department with routine repairs.
- Keep supervisor informed of any potential problems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Having the knowledge and ability to respond to emergencies and unpredictable situations.
- Ability to recognize adverse conditions and the knowledge to correct them.
Education and Training:
High school diploma/GED and vocational training or equivalent experience.
