Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) delivers a suite of payments services to financial institutions via FedLine® Solutions, FedNowSM, Fedwire®, National Settlement Service (NSS), FedCash®, FedACH® (Automated Clearing House), and Check Services. We are currently leading a strategic effort to transform FRFS to a national, enterprise-focused organization. The Federal Reserve has developed a new interbank 24x7x365 real-time gross settlement (RTGS) service with integrated clearing functionality, called the FedNow Service. This service enables financial institutions to provide their customers with the ability to send and receive payments any time, any day, and have full access to those funds within seconds. This position is a unique opportunity to be part of this mission-critical Federal Reserve initiative that is transforming the payments landscape in the United States.

The FedNow Go-to-Market Product Specialist is a pivotal member of the FedNow Product Business Development team. The Business Development team serves as a bridge between the FedNow product organization and FRFS’s customer-facing teams (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Onboarding, Operations, and Industry Relations). The team is responsible for a complex portfolio of responsibilities, including but not limited to product portfolio management, product positioning and messaging, feature release planning, go-to-market communications, customer engagements, speaking engagement support, and internal stakeholder management.

The Go-to-Market (GTM) Product Specialist will serve a critical role in helping to plan and execute product and feature launches from conception through completion. This person will collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to shape launch strategies to deliver a positive customer experience, create content that drives engagement, and coordinate complex projects across departments.

Key Responsibilities may include: 

  • Support the successful launch of new features by facilitating alignment across teams and sharing information to foster internal readiness. 

  • Develop compelling, clear, customer-centric messaging for new product features and launches by coordinating and drafting stakeholder communications 

  • Manage the go-to-market feature portfolio to support on-time delivery by coordinating launch plans and tracking deadlines. 

  • Represent the team in industry engagements, contributing to speeches, presentations, and panels that elevate the FedNow brand. 

  • Organize and lead webinars and training sessions, ensuring impactful delivery and customer follow-up. 

  • Develop and update learning resources—guides, tutorials, FAQs, and web content—that empower customers and stakeholders and ensure consistency and clarity across all platforms. 

  • Research customer personas and competitive landscape to inform and refine messaging strategies.  

  • Identify, implement and scale operational process improvements within the business development team. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, product support, business development, operations, or project coordination. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for translating complex concepts into accessible content and communicating with a variety of stakeholders 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to move projects forward independently and on time. 

  • Hands-on and execution oriented 

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to figure things out 

  • Eagerness to contribute fresh ideas and drive meaningful outcomes as part of a dynamic team. 

  • Creative, strategic thinker, who thrives in collaborative environments  

  • Developing business acumen with strong interpersonal skills  

  • Knowledge of the payment landscape a plus  

 

 LOCATION:

  • The selected candidate will reside within a reasonable commuting distance defined by the employing Reserve Bank and will work full-time onsite.

SALARY:

The Federal Reserve believes in salary transparency. The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Whether you’re developing into the job or are a more seasoned candidate, we aim to pay competitively. The salary range for this position is $118,100-$177,100. If you reside outside of the 1st District (Boston), you may be hired by your local Federal Reserve District and compensation will follow Hiring District's range and policy.

The second phase, which might not be complete until after you begin working at the Reserve Bank, is an additional risk-based security screening determined by the risk rating of the position.  Depending upon the sensitivity of the position, this phase may include, and is not limited to, work and residency eligibility verification, and personal interviews with the candidate, references, and prior employers.
