The Opportunity

As an Insurance Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through the complexities of tax planning, compliance, and strategy within our Tax practice. You will be instrumental in helping businesses navigate intricate tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. As a Manager, you will lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for project success and maintaining standards. Enhancing your leadership style, you motivate, develop, and inspire others to deliver quality. You are responsible for coaching, leveraging team members' unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client expectations. With your growing knowledge of how business works, you play an important role in identifying opportunities that contribute to the success of our Firm. You are expected to lead with integrity and authenticity, articulating our purpose and values in a meaningful way. You embrace technology and innovation to enhance your delivery and encourage others to do the same.

In this role, you will review and analyze financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimizing risks of non-compliance. Your efforts will be crucial in validating clients' adherence to tax laws and regulations, confirming they meet their obligations effectively.

Responsibilities

- Leading tax compliance workstreams and managing client expectations effectively
- Guiding teams in the preparation and filing of tax returns for insurance sector clients
- Utilizing analytical skills to review and analyze financial data for tax compliance
- Developing and implementing corporate tax planning strategies to optimize client tax positions
- Monitoring and analyzing financial trends to identify opportunities for tax savings
- Drafting and reviewing tax documents to support regulatory compliance and submissions
- Coaching and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients to address tax-related inquiries and issues
- Embracing technology and innovation to improve tax compliance processes and deliverables
- Confirming adherence to professional and technical standards in all tax-related activities

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 4 years of experience
- At least one of the following: Certified Public Accountant, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

The salary range for this position is: $99,000 - $266,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
