DevOps/Environment Support Engineer

Lead Systems Administrator

Location: Champaign, IL

Summary: Build and sustain segregated Development, Test, Staging, and Production stacks; automate build/deploy pipelines; enable redundancy and recoverability across environments supporting SMS/E-SMS.  

Responsibilities 

• Enforce strict environment segregation per DoD/NIST standards; maintain tooling (version control, issue tracking, collaboration, centralized logging, databases). 
• Implement automated builds and deployments (code and database scripts) with GitLab pipelines; support manual gates for Test/Staging/Prod. 
• Engineer replication, redundancy, and recoverability to minimize downtime; document procedures for repeatability. 
• Integrate TechLink testing into the GitLab pipeline in coordination with change management. 

Requirements

• Proven DevOps experience (GitLab CI/CD, infrastructure automation) in regulated environments. 
• Strong documentation and scripting skills; familiarity with RMF context and enterprise environment operations. 

Per Government contracting requirements, the candidate must be able to clearly speak, read, and write in the English language, be a US citizen, and pass and maintain a National Agency Check Investigation.
