## About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Middleware Application Support and Defect Management professional to join our Testing function in Pune. This role is accountable for the end-to-end support of middleware applications, driving defect management activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting service stability across Telecom OSS and BSS environments. The position is well suited to individuals with strong application support experience, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced and collaborative environments.

## What you’ll do

##

  • Manage and support middleware applications to ensure operational stability and service continuity.
  • Lead and facilitate defect management and defect triage meetings, ensuring clear ownership and actionable outcomes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive efficient defect resolution.
  • Monitor, track and report defects using tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira and Microsoft Teams.
  • Support standard operational processes while identifying, owning and resolving non-standard issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across delivery, testing and support functions to maintain quality outcomes.
  • Apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies in day-to-day activities.
  • Build effective working relationships to influence outcomes and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Explain technical processes and defect management practices to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Support Telecom OSS and BSS systems and contribute to end-to-end service assurance activities.
  • Utilise Middleware technologies including WebLogic and TIBCO to support application environments.
  • Contribute to reporting, insights and process improvement initiatives using Power Apps and Power BI where applicable.

## Who you are

##

  • Experience in Application Support and Maintenance within technology-driven environments.
  • Strong understanding of Telecom domains with end-to-end OSS and BSS process knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of Middleware technologies including WebLogic and TIBCO.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira and Microsoft Teams.
  • Knowledge of Power Apps and Power BI.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple organisational levels.
  • Strong facilitation skills with experience leading defect management discussions and driving resolutions.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and partner organisations.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and proactive in removing obstacles that may impact delivery or defect resolution.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with experience supporting deployments, defect triage and service delivery activities.
