Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team, performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

 

Every day, you will apply your independent judgment and advanced technical skills to perform state-of-the-art imaging procedures for patients presenting with conditions such as heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, and acute myocardial infarction, supporting decisions from minimally invasive interventions to major structural repairs.

 

To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid understanding of echocardiography imaging equipment, master proper patient positioning techniques, and expertly produce and analyze high-quality cardiac ultrasound images. Above all, you will continuously strive to deliver an exceptional and positive experience to our patients and their caregivers

 

  • Verifies order's entered into Cerner by ordering Physician for the examination.
  • Attain's B/P, Height and Weight and billable diagnosis to complete the exam from Cerner.
  • Enter's all of the pertinent information into the Ultrasound machine.
  • When patient enters room Sonographer will ask patient for date of birth and first and last name and if patient has a Cardiologist.
  • Sonographer will explain the echocardiogram to the patient or patient's family.
  • Perform the Echocardiogram following ICAEL standard's and Protocol. Sonographer will send the attained images into the PAC's system.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate/GED
  • Higher level degree and completion of an echocardiography program
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, within 12 - months
  • American Heart Association
    • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS)

Preferred

  • 1-3 years One (1) year experience as anechocardiography sonographer
