Aircrew Technical Publications Engineer in Combat perimeter

Job Description:

An opportunity for an Aircrew Technical Publications Engineer in Combat perimeter has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). 

Author of technical publications for pilots is a specific profile within this ILS discipline. Flight Manuals and Checklist are focus on operation and therefore they require the essential technical knowledge pilots need to safely operate the aircraft. This job implies working in international Combat programs as Eurofighter, and interact with disciplines both within Customer Services perimeter and out of it.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Customer requirements, system design, product databases, technical documentation.
• Prepare and maintain updated technical documentation used by combat aircraft pilots.
• Elaborate technical content, generation of illustrations orders, production and management of documentation as well as related services.
• Help the Customer with the use of delivered technical publications.
• Configuration and management of technical data and publications.
• Update the technical publications as required.
• Technical publications for combat aircraft pilots (Flight Manuals and Checklists)

SKILLS

• Between 2 and 3 years of experience in Technical Publications (mandatory).
• Knowledge of support to military aircraft operation.
• Experience in Customer services for military aircraft
• Knowledge of ASD 1000D specification.
• Knowledge of military Certification process will be highly valued
• Mark-up language (SGML/XML) editors and experience in technical publication tools and processes (mandatory).
• This role will involve business travel

Mandatory requirements:

Aeronautical engineer

Spanish nationality (requirement for Spanish Eyes Only programs)

Advanced level of English
