Speech Language Pathologist
- Acute Care & Inpatient - PRN: 2 weekend days/month required
The Speech Pathologist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment to patients. Will provide direct patient care and will monitor and report the patient’s progress. The Speech Pathologist performs speech-language, cognitive, or dysphagia treatments on a one-to-one or group basis. Access to Medication Room is required to perform the assigned job function. Completes required documentation and provides appropriate patient and/or family teaching.
Will also participate in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. This position is responsible for maintaining certification and/or licensure, achieving all continuing education requirements, demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Speech Pathology Program.
Licensure: Current license in State of Ohio to practice speech pathology. Maintain CEUs for licensure renewal.
Certification:
- Current BLS certification
- Certificate of clinical competence awarded by ASHA
Experience: Prefer a minimum of one-year experience.
Skills/Other:
- Demonstrates knowledge base and skill in providing age specific care.
- Possesses team-focused attributes.
- Works scheduled hours as assigned.
