Roto-Rooter is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Water Restoration Monitoring & Quality Control Technician to support our Water Restoration Division at our Chicago branch, located in Schaumburg, IL.  The hourly pay range is $20.00-$25.00, depending on experience. This is a field-based monitoring and quality-control position responsible for inspecting active restoration projects, documenting drying progress, identifying job deficiencies and missed opportunities, communicating with customers, and reporting findings directly to the assigned Project Manager.

 

The Monitoring & Quality Control Technician acts as the eyes and ears of the Project Manager in the field, helping ensure every active project is progressing properly, documentation is complete, company and IICRC standards are being followed, and legitimate opportunities to maximize the project are not being missed. This position does not replace the Project Manager or Lead Technician. Its purpose is to provide another level of accountability, documentation, customer communication, andquality control throughout the drying process.

 

Roto-Rooter is the name that home owners and businesses have turned to for over 90 years for their plumbing and drain cleaning troubles. Our newest division, water restoration, is growing quickly, and we are adding additional technicians.  

Responsibilities

Daily Monitoring & Drying Progress Responsibilities:

• Conduct scheduled monitoring visits on assigned active water restoration projects
• Confirm equipment is operating properly and remains appropriate for current job conditions.

Quality Control Responsibilities:

• Obtain and document moisture accurate readings from all affected materials and areas and report to Project Manager.
• Photo documentation
• Overall compliance with IICRC and Roto-Rooter/RRSC procedures

Customer Communication Responsibilites: 

• Make contact with the customer during monitoring visits and provide professionalupdates regarding drying progress.
• Maintain a professional, knowledgeable, and customer-focused presence whilerepresenting Roto-Rooter.

Requirements

• Service technician experience preferably in the restoration industry
• Strong customer service focus and able to communicate effectively with customers
• Able to work in a fast paced environment 
• Clean driving record and pass background check
• IICRC Certification a PLUS!
