Description

Scorekeepers operate the clock and scorebook to keep accurate scores of the game in progress, have knowledge of basketball rules and maintain a safe and positive atmosphere for participants.
- Prepare appropriate equipment (clock and scoreboard) 
- Assists adults sports official, participants, answers questions, and maintains a positive experience 
- Notify management of facility needs and any problems that may arise
- Ensure safety standards are met and department and facility policies are followed
- Provide first aid when needed along with an accident report
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Knowledge of basketball rules
- Ability to be professional and enforce rules
- Ability to cooperate and work well with other staff members and the public
Physical Skills
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, kneel, reach and manipulate objects, talk and/or hear. This position requires mobility. This position requires the employee to be able to project his/her voice so that participants can hear instructions.

Hours and Compensation
This position can range from 1.25 - 4 hours per week. The starting hourly rate is $15.26.
