JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this role is to:
Applies epidemiologic methods, quantitative analytics, and real-world data (RWD) to scale AI-driven knowledge systems that generate high-quality real-world evidence.
Partners with medical, scientific, safety, and development teams to identify evidence gaps and inform evidence-generation strategies.
Conducts patient population characterization, treatment pattern analyses, and outcomes assessments to support decision-making.
Leverages diverse healthcare data sources, including EHRs, claims, registries, and other RWD assets.
Produces timely, decision-ready insights that support medicine development, safety evaluation, clinical development, and lifecycle management.
Develops and applies scalable analytical frameworks for rapid evidence assessment and cohort evaluation.
Provides quantitative decision support aligned with organizational and strategic priorities.
Helps accelerate evidence generation through efficient, reproducible, and data-driven analytical approaches.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and scale enterprise AI and knowledge platforms that accelerate evidence generation and decision-making.
Conduct epidemiologic and real-world data analyses using claims, EHR, registry, and observational data sources.
Develop study cohorts, analytic datasets, and evidence-generation frameworks to support research and strategic decisions.
Generate rapid, decision-ready evidence to address evidence gaps, inform study design, and support medical, safety, and development priorities.
Apply epidemiologic methods and observational study designs while ensuring scientific rigor, methodological quality, and governance compliance.
Develop quantitative models and structured assessments that support evidence prioritization and portfolio decision-making.
Translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights through visualizations, reports, presentations, and scientific communications.
Partner across epidemiology, biostatistics, medical, safety, clinical development, regulatory, and health economics functions to advance evidence-generation strategies.
Contribute to reusable analytical assets, best practices, and innovation in real-world evidence and advanced analytics.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, Health Services Research, Biomedical Informatics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline plus 3+ years of related experience (<2 years with PhD).
PhD preferred but not required.
Experience analyzing real-world healthcare data, including claims or electronic health records.
Working knowledge of epidemiologic study designs and observational research methods.
Experience with statistical programming languages such as R, SAS, Python, or SQL.
Familiarity with healthcare coding systems including ICD, SNOMED, CPT, HCPCS, RxNorm, or related standards.
Experience conducting rapid analyses within a matrixed research environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex quantitative findings clearly.
Strong organizational and project-management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to scientific rigor, transparency, and reproducibility.
Strong written and verbal skills in English language

Reports to relevant Director/Sr Dir
Works cross-functionally with MED/IEG relevant project team(s) members (i.e. cross-functional teams within CMO, MED and IEG, supporting multiple therapeutical areas, digital, medical affairs, safety, clinical development, regulatory )
Works directly or indirectly with external contacts within assigned region(s), as well as relevant experts and key opinion leaders
