Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver Response in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government law enforcement location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. This driving role offers the opportunity to support a caring culture through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and exceptional customer service.

- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government law-enforcement location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate law-enforcement personnel and/or emergency responders as required.
- Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and assist with visitor screening and access-control procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and other required information accurately and promptly using approved reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
