Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Service Coordinator/Floater to support service request tracking and case coordination across our legal services team, based in our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) office in New York City.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide flexible, cross-functional support across service coordination, tracking, and administrative tasks as workload demands
- Review and enter new service requests, performing data entry of legal case information (index no., plaintiff, court, etc.) and assigning service of process work, including requests submitted via our client portal (training provided)
- Coordinate, track, and prioritize service requests and assignments for distribution
- Communicate with clients, employees, process servers, courts, and other parties regarding status; acknowledge receipt of documents and client-specific requests via email
- Monitor and verify deadlines, following up on outstanding assignments
- Review documents and legal filings for accuracy and completeness, extracting relevant information to create job orders
- Prepare and file documents in courts; travel to NYC courthouses as required for in-person filings, courtesy copies, and document retrieval
- Provide mobile notary services as needed
- Print, coordinate, and prepare documents for distribution
- Perform follow-up tasks as directed by clients (paralegals and attorneys)
- Maintain organized, accurate records within our system
- Handle high volumes of data entry and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Qualifications
- Experience in a legal setting a plus; familiarity with legal terminology and documents (summons and complaints, subpoenas, citations, affidavits, petitions, etc.)
- Data entry experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
- Notary Public preferred
- Knowledge of court procedures, legal documents, and/or the legal industry highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and desire to learn
- Extremely detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); tech-savvy

Pay Range: $20.00 to $25.00 depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time Onsite Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
