JOB TITLE: SYSPRO ADMINISTRATOR

LOCATION: Atlantis, Cape Town
INDUSTRY: Manufacturing
REMUNERATION: Market related and dependent on qualifications and experience

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client, an established manufacturing company based in Atlantis, Cape Town, is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified SYSPRO Administrator.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and optimisation of the SYSPRO ERP environment. The role will support users across the organisation, maintain system integrity and assist management by extracting, manipulating and presenting accurate business information.

A SYSPRO certification is required. Previous experience as a SYSPRO Super User within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer, maintain and support the SYSPRO ERP system.
  • Provide first-line support and guidance to SYSPRO users across the business.
  • Create and maintain user profiles, permissions and access controls.
  • Investigate and resolve system, transaction and user-related queries.
  • Monitor data accuracy, system integrity and adherence to established procedures.
  • Extract, manipulate and analyse SYSPRO data for management reporting.
  • Develop and maintain operational, financial and management reports.
  • Assist departments in improving the use of SYSPRO functionality.
  • Review existing workflows and recommend practical system and process improvements.
  • Document system processes, workflows and operating procedures.
  • Support SYSPRO upgrades, testing, implementation and system-enhancement projects.
  • Coordinate user-acceptance testing before changes are introduced into the live environment.
  • Train new and existing employees on relevant SYSPRO modules and procedures.
  • Liaise with external SYSPRO consultants and service providers when required.
  • Assist with data imports, exports, reconciliations and system housekeeping.
  • Support month-end and year-end processing requirements.
  • Identify system-control weaknesses and recommend corrective measures.
  • Work closely with Finance, Production, Procurement, Inventory, Sales, Logistics and IT.
  • Ensure that system usage supports manufacturing, stock-control and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with company information-security policies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric or an equivalent qualification.
  • A recognised SYSPRO certification is required.
  • A relevant qualification in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Minimum of five years' relevant experience as a SYSPRO Administrator, Consultant or senior SYSPRO user.
  • Previous SYSPRO Super User experience would be advantageous.
  • Proven SYSPRO experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Sound understanding of manufacturing processes and ERP workflows.
  • Experience extracting, manipulating and presenting data for management reporting.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with large data sets.
  • Experience providing user support and system training.
  • Understanding of user permissions, system controls and data integrity.
  • Experience with report-writing or business-intelligence tools would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools would be advantageous.

REMUNERATION

A market-related cost-to-company package will be offered, commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications, SYSPRO certification, manufacturing experience and level of technical expertise.
