Process Control Engineer Job Description (Level E5)

Job Description:
The Process Engineer is responsible for documenting and optimizing current and future manufacturing processes and workflow.
Duties:
- Documents manufacturing processes and workflows.
- Observes, analyzes, and optimizes manufacturing processes and workflows to improve product output and reduce costs.
- Performs risk assessments related to manufacturing.
- Maintains records of equipment maintenance.
- Ensures and advises on the correct application and use of processes and equipment.
- Develops and implements with stakeholders manufacturing processes.
- Carries out design of new tooling, equipment, processes, and products.
- Is proficient in SolidWorks and other computer work associated with all functions.
- Supports and maintains a robust quality management system that is compliant with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
- Maintains compliance with applicable government agencies and customer requirements. (ITAR, OSHA, Equipment preventative maintenance and calibration etc.)
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Familiar with common process engineering concepts.
- Be proficient at assembling and manufacturing all products.
- Detail-oriented and consistent.
- Works well as a productive member of a team, or alone, in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
Education and Experience:
- BS Engineering degree in related field.
- Experience maintaining and/or implementing quality management systems.
- Experience with 3D CAD System (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience in ISO9001 and/or AS9100D preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
- Must have manual dexterity to assemble products as directed.
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
Hours/Pay/Benefits
- Monday – Friday; 8 am to 5 pm
