About Sony Music Entertainment
At Sony Music Entertainment, we fuel the creative journey. We’ve played a pioneering role in music history, from the first-ever music label to the invention of the flat disc record. We’ve nurtured some of music’s most iconic artists and produced some of the most influential recordings of all time.
Today, we work in more than 70 countries, supporting a diverse roster of international superstars, developing and independent artists, and visionary creators. From our position at the intersection of music, entertainment, and technology, we bring imagination and expertise to the newest products and platforms, embrace new business models, employ breakthrough tools, and provide powerful insights that help our artists push creative boundaries and reach new audiences. In everything we do, we’re committed to artistic integrity, transparency, and entrepreneurship.
Sony Music Entertainment is a member of the Sony family of global companies.
Business Solutions partners with our label, marketing, and release planning teams to build the tools and workflows that help them run more effectively. We operate as a trusted internal partner, not an order-taking function. Our work is guided by three principles: Fail Fast: test ideas quickly, and don't let perfection get in the way of progress; Learn Quickly: treat every iteration as a chance to learn, document, and adapt; and Move Forward: keep the work, and the people we support, moving.
This Business Solutions Specialist supports a dedicated portfolio of business units spanning US and international markets, serving as a business-facing, execution-focused role working closely with the Senior Specialist and Architect on larger technical or architectural decisions.
What you'll do:
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for your assigned business units' stakeholders
- Run requirements-gathering, testing, and feedback sessions with end users and mid-level stakeholders
- Build and maintain business systems, automations, and workflows
- Write specs for integrations with internal Sony Music systems, with support from the Senior Specialist/Architect
- Support data migrations for assigned business units
- Escalate bigger technical or architectural questions rather than solving solo
- Identify and develop power users within each business unit who can extend training to their broader team
- Run basic training sessions and office hours with end users on using AI tools (e.g., Claude Cowork) for their own recurring tasks; gather feedback on adoption
- Track adoption/usage of the solutions you support and help report on outcomes
- Follow established governance, privacy, and compliance guardrails when building and deploying solutions; escalate questions to the Senior Specialist/Architect
- Document your work using established templates and playbooks so patterns can be reused across BUs
- Coordinate across time zones with the global team members and stakeholders
Who you are:
- 2-5 years in business/systems analysis, solutions consulting, and hands-on no-code/low-code platform development and administration in an enterprise setting, building with security and governance in mind rather than quick fixes
- Comfortable running point with business unit stakeholders on day-to-day requirements and testing
- Solid process-mapping and documentation skills
- Tool-agnostic and eager to learn new platforms as needed
Nice to Have (not required):
- Music industry experience; media & entertainment adjacency a plus
- Hands-on Airtable experience (current core platform)
- Hands-on A.I. experience using tools such as Claude Cowork, ChatGPT Work, Google Gemini
- Interest or early experience coaching end users on self-service AI tool use
What we give you:
- You join an inclusive, collaborative and global community where you have the opportunity to channel your passion every day
