S&L Industrial is looking for a Traffic Control Estimator to join our growing team. This is an in-person position based out of our Billings, MT or Cowley, WY office, with regular collaboration with our Corporate Office in Omaha, Nebraska.

Position Summary

The Traffic Control Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for traffic control projects while supporting business development and operational success. Working closely with Operations, Project Management, and our Corporate Estimating Team, you'll play an important role in helping secure projects throughout the region.

What You'll Do

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals.
• Coordinate pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and communicate project scope.
• Partner with Operations on scheduling, staffing, and project execution.
• Track bid results and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, vendors, and industry partners.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of traffic control estimating experience.
• Experience estimating traffic control, pavement marking, roadway safety, or highway construction projects preferred.
• Experience with estimating software such as Bid2Win is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20%.
