Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Tour in Irvington, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Officer at a leading educational location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative approach with Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
