Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lambeth to assist with the appointment of a Team Manager - Independent Reviewing Service on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £32.80- £44.65 per hour
Summary:
The Team Manager – Independent Reviewing Service will provide strong operational and professional leadership to the Independent Reviewing Service within Children's Social Care. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that statutory duties relating to children who are looked after and children subject to child protection arrangements are effectively coordinated, monitored and delivered within required timescales.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational and professional leadership to the Independent Reviewing Service, ensuring effective delivery of statutory responsibilities.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the team, including workload allocation, prioritisation, performance monitoring and resource management.
- Ensure that statutory reviews for children looked after and relevant child protection processes are coordinated effectively and completed within required timescales.
- Ensure that appropriate systems are in place to monitor statutory compliance and to challenge and escalate where duties are not being met.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Social Work or equivalent professional social work qualification.
- Relevant post-qualifying training and continuing professional development in children's social care, safeguarding, looked-after children or independent reviewing practice.
Essentials:
- Significant post-qualifying experience working within Children's Social Care.
- Substantial experience of working with children in need, children subject to safeguarding arrangements and/or children looked after.
- Experience of Independent Reviewing Officer practice, statutory reviews and care planning.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
