What Our Certified Veterinary Technicians Do

  • Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
  • Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients from intake through discharge
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
  • Provide patient monitoring and supportive care, including TPRs, pain scoring, wound care, and more
  • Assist with anesthesia monitoring, surgical care, and patient recovery
  • Support emergency and urgent patient care as needed
  • Perform laboratory procedures and assist with diagnostic testing
  • Educate and communicate with clients about patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventative care
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and fellow support team members to provide efficient, high-quality patient care
  • Participate in ongoing training and growth opportunities within the practice

What Our Certified Veterinary Technicians Bring

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred
  • Experienced veterinary assistant and veterinary technician candidates are welcome
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Solid technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring
  • Emergency and surgical care skills, including IV catheter placement, are ideal
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, compassionate approach
  • The ability to obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to teamwork
  • A desire to continue learning, developing your skills, and growing within veterinary medicine
