Production & Operational Excellence Manager

The Production & Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for leading all injection molding manufacturing operations while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives across the facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production performance while achieving customer delivery requirements and business objectives.

Key responsibilities include managing daily production activities, optimizing resources, improving key manufacturing KPIs (OEE, productivity, scrap, downtime, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery), and coordinating cross-functional teams including Planning, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Tooling, Materials, and Supply Chain.

The position also serves as a champion of Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence, leading initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, and Six Sigma methodologies to improve productivity, reduce waste, lower costs, and enhance quality and operational performance.

Additionally, the manager ensures compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and GMP standards; supports customer satisfaction through root cause analysis and corrective actions; develops and mentors production teams; manages departmental budgets and resources; and drives strategic projects that support operational excellence, automation, digital transformation, and sustainable business growth.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent experience.
• 7-10+ years of injection molding manufacturing experience.
• 3-5+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Proven success leading Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence programs.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, materials, automation systems, and high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Bilingual English/Spanish (written and verbal).

Preferred Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
• PMP Certification
• Scientific Molding Certification
