House Patient Care Coordinator
Full-Time-First Shift
Nursing Administration I Corbin, KY
The Nursing Administration Department provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for nursing services throughout the organization. Nursing Administration is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting nursing staff, promoting professional development, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
The House Patient Care Coordinator oversees hospital operations while supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role serves as a clinical nursing resource, coordinates staffing and patient flow, addresses safety and operational concerns, and supports admissions, transfers, and discharges. More than 50% of the role is dedicated to coordinating and supporting direct patient care activities.
Description:
Provides hospital-wide clinical and administrative support during assigned shifts.
Serves as a clinical resource for staff and supports quality patient care.
Coordinates staffing, patient flow, bed utilization, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Provides leadership during codes, emergencies, and other critical situations.
Addresses patient, family, staff, and physician concerns as appropriate.
Identifies safety and risk concerns and communicates issues requiring follow-up.
Coaches and supports staff while promoting compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Minimum of three years of job-related experience required.
Active RN license with the Kentucky Board of Nursing required.
Required certifications/training include BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS, 12-Lead ECG, Nurse Wound Care, Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia, and Avade Training within designated post-hire timeframes.
Clinical management experience preferred.
