Description
Machine Technician Mechanical
This candidate will be responsible for mechanically configuring our machines to the customer's CNC lathe specifications. This includes mechanical adjustments, disassembly and modifications of mechanical sub-assemblies, and the final installation and testing of the machine's accessories. Ability to perform some basic wiring tasks on the machines' high voltage and 24-volt communication system is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Mechanical skills: Must be an above average mechanic, be skilled with hand and power tools, and possess professional work habits. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in machine building or automotive repair.
Electrical skills: Proficiency using a multimeter and following a wiring diagram or schematic for the purposes of performing basic wiring. Ability and willingness to learn more advanced wiring and troubleshooting techniques with training.
General skills: Knowledge of overhead crane operation, fork truck experience, and a commercial driver's license are pluses.
Candidate must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Technical school certificate in related disciplines is preferred, but equivalent and demonstrated practical experience is acceptable.
