Overview
We are looking for a Vice President of Real Estate to join the Law Department. The Vice President of Real Estate is responsible for leading the organization's real estate strategy, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and portfolio management activities. The Vice President collaborates closely with executive leadership, finance, legal, operations, and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, manage risk, and optimize performance across the real estate portfolio.
What you’ll be doing:
Serve as primary point of contact for all real estate - related matters
- Manage all aspects of 200+ lease property portfolio. Negotiate, review real estate-related agreements, including but not limited to:
- Lead all aspects of lease renewals including negotiations with landlords, legal reviews and adjustments to leases.
- Engage brokers as appropriate to assist in lease negotiations.
- Advise Operations and other internal clients on legal and financial implications of important lease terms.
- Negotiate best possible deals including rent, tenant improvement allowances and other key terms.
- Develop supporting analyses and collaborate with Operations.
- Manage all physical exits of leased properties, including coordination with IT and facilities management.
- Develop and execute plan to limit financial exposure on leases of closed facilities.
- Lead ongoing management of leases and related documents, including: Amendments, Assignment/assumption agreements, SNDA’s, Renewals, Estoppel Certificates, Attornment Agreements, Guaranty Agreements
Develop three to five year real estate strategy in collaboration with Operations for entire portfolio of practices.
- Gain detailed understanding of real estate needs and potential opportunities of each region and practice to serve as the primary real estate subject matter expert for NADG.
- Include recommendations based on location, facilities conditions, revenues, EBITDA, patient base, competition and other factors where NADG should invest in facilities improvements, consider expansion, consider consolidation and/or relocation, etc.
Manage the development process for new facilities and improvements to existing leased properties.
- Oversee and manage design, construction, equipment purchasing, furniture and décor, information technology implementation, and clinical setup to ensure a successful opening and handoff to the operations team.
- Maintain and optimize design/construction and equipment standards

- Provide input and analyses to support selection of new sites. Manage real estate brokers to assist in site selection and lease negotiations.
- Engage and supervise outside counsel and other appropriate service providers for real estate-related matters as necessary.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in corporate real estate portfolio management – retail or hospitality preferred
- 5+ years working cross-functionally with field operations
- Proven track record managing acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and portfolio management.
- Deep understanding of commercial real estate markets and investment principles.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and underwriting expertise.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
- Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities
- Bachelors degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
