About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Consultant in Infectious Diseases to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of infectious diseases, working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and clinical outcomes.The role involves managing complex infectious cases, including hospital-acquired infections, emerging infectious diseases, and immunocompromised patients.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and manage a wide range of infectious diseases in inpatient and outpatient settingsLead the clinical management of complex cases, including sepsis, HIV, tuberculosis, and viral hepatitisProvide expert consultation on hospital-acquired and healthcare-associated infectionsDevelop and implement antimicrobial stewardship programs and infection control policiesCollaborate with intensive care, internal medicine, microbiology, and public health teamsParticipate in outbreak investigation, surveillance, and infection prevention initiativesOversee isolation protocols and infection control compliance within the hospitalEducate and train medical staff on infection prevention and control practicesStay updated with emerging infectious disease trends, guidelines, and researchContribute to clinical audits, quality improvement, and hospital governance activitiesRequirementsMedical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institutionBoard Certification in Infectious Diseases (mandatory)Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Consultant Infectious Disease specialistStrong expertise in managing complex infectious and communicable diseasesExperience in infection control and antimicrobial stewardship programsExcellent clinical judgment and decision-making skillsStrong communication, leadership, and teamwork abilitiesExperience working in a multicultural healthcare environmentEligibility for UAE medical licensing (MOHAP for Sharjah)What We OfferCompetitive tax-free salary packageHousing and relocation support (depending on employer)Access to modern hospital facilities and advanced diagnosticsMultidisciplinary and collaborative working environmentOpportunities for continuous professional developmentSupportive leadership and structured career growth
