Job Summary
Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.
The Operations Program Manager will be based on Flex North. Reporting to the Industrial Sr Director, Global Program Management the Operations Program Manager role manages and oversees the end-to-end product lifecycle for a manufacturing program, ensuring that production, quality, safety, and cost targets are met. The Program Manager is accountable for maintaining efficient manufacturing operations to meet internal and customer expectations. This role focuses on achieving high levels of forecast accuracy, managing manufacturing costs, and project timelines aligned with the overall manufacturing capacity for a customer program. This role requires a strategic leader who can effectively manage resources with cross-functional teams, optimize operational processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance
What a typical day looks like:
- Interfacing with customers, including solving customer problems, building relationships, and managing escalations.
- Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
- Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
- Leading successfully projects with cross-functional teams from initiation to completion in a fast-moving environment.
- Participating in project planning sessions and contributing to timelines and deliverables.
- Participating in cross-departmental teams to deliver projects or initiatives.
- Facilitating meetings between different teams to ensure alignment.
- Effectively presenting project updates to stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Preparing reports or presentations summarizing project progress and outcomes.
- Participating in lean initiatives.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in manufacturing operations, production management, program management, or a related field.
- Must have hands-on experience working within production operations, including direct involvement with manufacturing processes, production planning, workforce management, and daily operational execution.
- Proven experience leading production teams and driving operational performance in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in customer-facing roles, including relationship management, issue resolution, and escalation management.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation and completion.
- Knowledge of production planning, procurement, engineering change management, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience leading continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, operational teams, and senior leadership.
- Strong analytical skills with experience preparing reports, presentations, and business reviews.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in EMS, electronics high-volume manufacturing environments
