Job Title: ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY — LITIGATION
Compensation: $125,000 – $185,000 per year depending on experience
Location: Denver, CO

The Role:
Our client seeks an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably with an emphasis on insurance-related litigation such as coverage disputes, personal injury cases, premises liability lawsuits, and bad faith claims. The ideal candidate will have experience investigating and defending first and third-party claims, taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive motions, and attending court hearings in state and federal courts. Experience drafting coverage opinions and conducting examinations under oath is a strong plus.
Candidates will have the opportunity to handle day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of the matters on which they work, from pre-litigation analysis and client recommendations through trial and appeal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and defend first and third-party insurance claims
- Handle personal injury, construction, premises liability, coverage disputes, and bad faith matters
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft dispositive motions and coverage opinions
- Attend court hearings in state and federal courts
- Conduct legal research and prepare written analysis
- Provide pre-litigation evaluations and client recommendations
- Conduct examinations under oath
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school — distinguished academics preferred
- Active Colorado Bar license required — absolutely no exceptions
- A minimum of 3 years of solid litigation experience in law firms required
- Experience with insurance-related litigation, coverage disputes, personal injury, premises liability, and bad faith claims strongly preferred
- Excellent research, writing, and independent thinking skills required
- Ability to handle a fast-paced workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Hands-on approach to research, problem-solving, and client relations
- Comfortable with technology
- Outgoing, collegial, and collaborative personality
