Talis Group’s client is a leading engineering and manufacturing company in Louisville, KY. They are seeking an Engineering Recruiter to join their Human Resource team and play a key role in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top engineering talent for their Louisville operations. This is a role for a motivated, high-energy recruiter who enjoys a fast-paced environment, stays busy, and is driven to get results. The ideal candidate is action-oriented, highly communicative, and willing to ask questions. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand what is needed for each position and ensure a positive candidate experience from initial contact through the hiring process.
While 5 years of recruiting experience is important, the company is willing to consider candidates with a couple of years of recruiting experience who demonstrate a strong work ethic, drive to succeed, and the ability to learn. Personality and cultural fit are important, as the position interacts with candidates and multiple hiring managers with a wide variety of personalities. This is a high-volume, fast-paced recruiting environment supporting critical hiring needs across engineering, project management, and technical functions.
This full-time, direct hire position offers a salary range of $70-$90k, plus full benefits, 401k plan, 4 weeks of PTO, and 11 paid holiday annually.
Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, onsite, no travel.
Highlighted Duties:
- Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, priorities, qualifications, and the type of candidate needed for each opening.
- Source qualified candidates for a variety of roles: Project Engineers, Technical Leads, Project Managers, Logistic Professionals, and Technical/Engineering Sales roles.
- Utilize the company’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS), which integrates with LinkedIn and Indeed and provides AI-assisted candidate searches.
- Conduct initial phone screens to evaluate candidate qualifications, experience, and potential fit.
- Present qualified candidates to hiring managers through the ATS for next steps.
- Coordinate and facilitate a timely, organized candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
- Maintain accurate candidate information, notes, activity, and pipeline status of candidates across multiple requisitions within the ATS.
- Build and maintain relationships with engineering professionals, other potential candidates, and relevant organizations.
- Track recruiting activity and metrics & provide updates on recruitment progress & outcomes.
Highlighted Requirements:
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or technical environments.
- Ability to understand technical & engineering positions and learn the qualifications associated with various engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, and design engineering.
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume requisition load (20+ roles simultaneously).
- Strong sourcing skills and ability to identify passive candidates.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Strong sense of urgency and self-motivated to stay busy, meet goals, and produce results.
