Assistant Director of Nursing Services - Senior Living Community
SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Monday through Friday
- Some Flexibility Offered
COMPENSATION:
- $110,000 to $115,000+ Salary, dependent upon experience
- Annual Bonus

COMPANY PROFILE:
Founded in 2010, this organization currently operates eight (8) senior living communities across four (4) states. Their facilities boast exceptional services in independent living, assisted living, memory care, couples care, rehabilitation services, and more. They are currently seeking a compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing for their Reston location.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADON) reports to and supports the Director of Nursing Services (DON) at the 90-resident Reston facility.
The duties of the ADON role include, but are not limited to:
- participate in regular reviews to identify improvement opportunities to nursing service
- supervise delivery of treatments to residents
- develop and maintain staff schedules
- lead performance evaluations for LPNs / LVNs
- assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring nursing staff
- meet with prospective and current residents to discuss any issues or needs
- review pre-admission medical evaluations for residents
- assist in collecting resident personal information for admission
- evaluate resident functioning levels
- participate in resident health maintenance meetings
- coordinate with physicians and other healthcare providers to update care plans
- directly supervise nursing personnel in the absence of the DON
- perform staff nurse duties when required
- assist in developing improvement plans when needed
This role works closely with residents, families, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure that residents receive high-quality, patient-centered care.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Virginia RN license
- 2+ years nursing experience
- experience in long-term care environments preferred
- BSN preferred
