Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Check the accuracy and completeness of accounting records, in compliance with internal control procedures and quality requirements.
• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by accurately recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering financial transactions.
• Act as a back-up for the following activities:
• posting payments;
• recording accounting documents (invoices, expense claims, etc.).
• Participate in month-end closing activities and perform account reconciliations.
• Prepare and post accounting entries for:
• assets;
• liabilities;
• revenues;
• expenses,based on the analysis of accounting information.
• Maintain and reconcile subsidiary accounts (sub-ledgers), identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Consolidate the financial position and prepare:
• trial balance;
• balance sheet
• profit and loss statement;
• other financial reports.
• Prepare tax calculations (taxes, duties) in accordance with applicable legislation.
• Prepare statutory tax returns (D300, D394, D390, SAF-T).
• Perform monthly group reporting, in line with Expleo group requirements and deadlines.
• Provide support and documentation during tax inspections and financial audits (internal or external).

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics (Accounting, Finance, Economics).
• At least 5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Solid knowledge of financial accounting and Romanian tax legislation.
• Experience with month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Excel skills – advanced level.
• Experience with ERP systems, such as Unit4
• English – intermediate to advanced level.
