A day in the life… 

The Flex Stylist supports Nordstrom.com by providing styling that is relevant and inspiring to customers and delivers on business goals.

• Execute on set against direction to a high standard with minimal oversight; consistently meet or exceed output goals.
• Plan and prepare pre-shoot; anticipate challenges and effectively problem-solve, and ensure merchandising priorities are considered throughout the style out process.

• Collaborate with Art Directors and Photographers on set, supplying a styling perspective.

• Advise and guide Associate Stylists and Assistant Stylists as needed.
• Communicate effectively; share viewpoint and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflow, and quality and support implementation of new ideas.
• Research brands, runway, and street style, staying current with trends in fashion and retail.
• Continually grow skills sets and seek opportunities to best serve the business.
• Actively contribute to creating a positive work environment and team morale.

You own this if you have…

• Bachelors or Associates of Arts degree or equivalent experience. 
• Minimum 3 years styling experience, 1 year in high volume e-commerce.

• Online Portfolio demonstrating fashion expertise and ability to translate trends on set for customers.
• Excellent styling techniques; understanding of Art Direction.
• Knowledge of fashion and brands with an eye for emerging trends in styling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment and quickly respond to shifting business needs.
• Team player with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Curiosity around learning new things and uncovering opportunities.
• Proficiency with knowledge of Mac OS and Microsoft Office Suite knowledge of Capture One and Cannon camera operation a plus. 
• Flexibility in hours during peak periods.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. 
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$33.25 - $53.00 Hourly
