Lesley University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to supervise an independent study during the Fall 2026 Term I.

Independent Study Title: Dyscalculia: Existing Interventions and Training

Course Description

This independent study provides an introduction to dyscalculia and evidence-informed approaches to identification and intervention. Students will review current research, explore screening and assessment tools, examine intervention strategies and best practices, and engage with relevant literature through a specialized training course. Students will complete a final examination to demonstrate their learning and earn a certificate of completion.

Qualities and Capabilities

The independent study will be conducted in accordance with university guidelines for graduate independent studies.

A successful candidate will have:

• A PhD or terminal degree in Education, Literacy, or a closely related field (required)

• Strong supervisory, teaching, and mentorship skills
