Description
The position provides an opportunity to gain progressively increasing exposure to employee relations, performance management, succession planning, organizational development, and other strategic human resources functions while serving as a trusted resource to hiring managers and employees.
Essential Duties
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for professional staff positions across assigned business services departments.
- Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, develop job descriptions, and establish recruiting strategies.
- Source qualified candidates through direct sourcing, networking, referrals, database searches, professional associations, social media, and other recruiting channels.
- Screen candidates, assess qualifications, and present recommendations to hiring managers.
- Coordinate interviews, facilitate candidate communications, gather feedback, and manage the hiring process through offer acceptance.
- Maintain accurate candidate data, status changes, and recruitment activity within Workday and other recruiting systems.
- Develop and maintain proactive candidate pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill roles.
- Analyze recruiting metrics and hiring trends, providing recommendations to improve sourcing effectiveness, candidate quality, and time-to-fill.
- Facilitate preboarding and onboarding activities and support successful integration of new hires into the Firm.
Human Resources Specialist
- Partner with HR Generalists, HR leadership and department managers to support talent development and career progression initiatives.
- Support performance management processes, including evaluations, goal-setting initiatives, and employee development planning.
- Collaborate on talent review processes.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Participate in compensation and employee engagement projects.
- Submit employee status changes and assist with testing, implementation, and optimization of HR systems, including Workday.
Learning & Development Project Work
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing learning and development programs for staff.
- Support staff curriculum development, training logistics, communication plans, and program evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Staff Learning and Development on firmwide training initiatives and special projects.
- Track participation, analyze learning outcomes, and prepare reports related to training and development activities.
- Help identify opportunities to improve employee development programs and learning experiences.
Process Improvement & Special Projects
- Participate in HR and recruiting process improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, workflows, and procedural guides.
- Serve as a liaison between Human Resources and other departments on projects and special requests.
- Assist with compliance audits and reporting to ensure adherence to Firm policies and applicable employment laws.

Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in recruiting, human resources, talent acquisition, learning and development, or a related field.
- Experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes required.
- Experience within a law firm, professional services organization, or other fast-paced client service environment preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in developing broader HR Generalist knowledge and responsibilities.
Skills
- Strong recruiting and candidate sourcing skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with employees, candidates, managers, and firm leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience utilizing HR metrics and reporting.

- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Workday, Smartsheet, LinkedIn Recruiter, and HR technology platforms preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required.
PHR, SHRM-CP, or a commitment to obtaining certification is preferred.
Physical Demands
Must be able to move around the office up to 15% of the time to make copies, fax, file, etc. Remains stationary at least 85% of the time. This position operates computers and other office productivity machines (e.g., fax machine, copier, printer, etc.) on a regular basis. Occasionally required to move documents or files weighing up to 15 lbs. This position requires constant communication and exchange of information with the Firm attorneys, clients, and staff. This position must be able to inspect and observe information on a computer screen at least 80% of the time.
