Job Description
What Does Success Look Like
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Product Design based in India to lead a team of product designers responsible for shaping next-generation enterprise software experiences across Sprinklr’s unified customer experience management platform. This is a hybrid player/coach role that is primarily focused on strategic team leadership, with selective hands-on design execution: approximately 80% of the role will focus on leading, coaching, planning, and operating the team, while approximately 20% will remain hands-on in Figma to shape critical workflows, interaction models, prototypes, and AI-first product experiences. In this role, you will set design direction, coach and develop designers, strengthen design quality, and partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Research, Content Design, Data Science, Go-to-Market, Field teams, U.S.-based Product Experience leaders, and senior leadership to deliver AI-first workflows and agentic product experiences that are intuitive, trustworthy, accessible, scalable, and measurable.
The ideal candidate is an experienced design leader with a strong foundation in hands-on product design and a proven ability to lead teams through complex SaaS or enterprise product challenges. They bring excellent judgment in interaction design, systems thinking, visual craft, accessibility, service design thinking, design systems, product operations, and user-centered product strategy. They are comfortable operating in ambiguity, building trusted relationships across disciplines, influencing cross-functional roadmaps, developing talent, and helping teams responsibly apply artificial intelligence (AI), automation, agentic design patterns, generative AI workflows, human-in-the-loop experiences, explainability, and user control to simplify complex enterprise workflows, reduce friction, and improve customer outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Lead, coach, and develop a team of product designers, helping them grow their craft, judgment, communication, product thinking, and ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced enterprise software environment.
Set clear design direction for complex product areas, including user journeys, interaction models, information architecture, service design flows, design system usage, high-density data experiences, and AI-first or agentic experience patterns that help users move from insight to action with appropriate transparency, predictability, and control.
Build trusted relationships with Product Management, Engineering, Research, Content Design, Data Science, Product Operations, Go-to-Market, Field teams, and senior stakeholders to clarify priorities, frame problems, define success measures, and ensure design is engaged early enough to influence strategy, scope, delivery quality, customer readiness, and market adoption.
Contribute hands-on to critical product pillars when needed, including complex workflows, interactive dashboards, prototypes, information architecture, multi-tenant interface patterns, and product experiences that simplify dense enterprise data across Sprinklr’s platform.
Design and guide agentic and generative AI workflows, including human-in-the-loop review, prompting, auditing, exception handling, confidence signals, explainability, and clear user controls that help enterprise teams collaborate effectively with intelligent systems.
Create an environment where designers can explore options, share work early, receive constructive critique, and converge on solutions that balance user needs, customer outcomes, business goals, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines.
As an India-based design leader, you will play a key role in strengthening Sprinklr’s global Product Experience organization by building a high-trust, high-impact design team in India that works seamlessly with U.S.-based leaders and cross-functional partners. Success in this role requires strong judgment, clear communication, proactive alignment, and the ability to help distributed teams operate as one connected organization across priorities, reviews, delivery, and customer outcomes.
Lead with a global operating mindset, helping India-based designers build visibility, confidence, influence, and trusted working relationships with U.S.-based Product Experience teammates and cross-functional partners across time zones.
Create strong operating rhythms between India and U.S. teams, including clear communication, thoughtful async updates, effective design reviews, early escalation of risks, and practical handoffs that support speed, quality, and alignment.
Raise the bar for design quality through strong critique, clear standards, thoughtful reviews, and practical guidance on interaction design, visual craft, accessibility, usability, prototyping, and implementation details.
Use research, customer insights, product data, competitive reviews, and stakeholder context to guide team priorities and translate ambiguous opportunities into actionable design plans.
Drive continuous customer discovery by participating in customer and Field conversations, usability testing, stakeholder interviews, and rapid prototyping to translate raw user needs and market feedback into actionable product and design direction.
Help mature design operations, planning rituals, critique practices, documentation standards, and cross-functional ways of working so the team can deliver great design quickly, predictably, and with appropriate scope.
Scale design systems and lightweight product operations practices, including reusable component libraries, accessibility standards, documentation hygiene, intake models, prioritization frameworks, and cleaner design-to-engineering handoffs.
Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development, and team health, while modeling Sprinklr’s culture of collaboration, accountability, curiosity, and care.
What Makes You Qualified
8+ years of product design experience, including meaningful experience designing SaaS, enterprise, business-to-business, or complex workflow products.
3+ years of direct people-management experience leading product designers, with a demonstrated ability to coach, develop, retain, and grow design talent.
A strong portfolio, case study collection, or team body of work that demonstrates your ability to lead successful product design outcomes, strengthen design quality, guide strategy, and help teams ship meaningful improvements for users and the business.
Portfolio or case studies should demonstrate comfort with complex data visualization, dashboard orchestration, multi-tenant software layouts, workflow simplification, and the ability to connect design decisions to product adoption, retention, time-to-value, or delivery quality.
Deep expertise in interaction design, information architecture, visual design, usability, accessibility, and design systems, with the ability to help teams apply these disciplines consistently at enterprise scale.
Practical understanding of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered product experiences, AI-assisted design or research tools, emerging agentic design patterns, and generative AI workflows, including intelligent recommendations, automated task execution, conversational automation, user intent modeling, explainability, user control, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop review.
Experience using research methods and customer evidence, such as interviews, usability testing, workflow analysis, competitive reviews, surveys, behavioral data, or qualitative synthesis, to guide product and design decisions.
Strong service design thinking and systems-thinking skills, including journey mapping, service blueprints, frontstage and backstage workflows, operational dependencies, and the ability to connect product experiences to broader customer, employee, and business outcomes.
Proven ability to operate in ambiguity, frame complex problems, influence roadmaps, make tradeoffs, and guide teams toward pragmatic solutions without losing sight of user value or long-term product quality.
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to explain design rationale, product implications, and tradeoffs to designers, Product Managers, Engineers, executives, and stakeholders across locations and time zones.
Collaborative, low-ego leadership style with the ability to build durable relationships across disciplines, including Product, Engineering, Research, Content Design, Go-to-Market, and Field partners; create clarity; manage healthy critique; navigate tradeoffs; and bring cross-functional partners together around shared outcomes.
Fluency with Figma and modern design workflows, including components, variants, auto layout, prototyping, Figma Dev Mode, design system documentation, and collaboration with Engineering during implementation.
Advanced Figma capability, including auto layout, variables, component architecture, prototyping, design system documentation, and Figma Dev Mode workflows that support efficient collaboration with Engineering.
Working familiarity with FigJam, Jira, Confluence, prototyping tools, research repositories, design systems, and AI-assisted design or research tools.
Experience improving team rituals, design critique, planning practices, documentation quality, hiring loops, onboarding, or performance-development processes in a distributed design organization.
Experience leading or helping scale India-based design teams, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, career development, team visibility, and collaboration with global stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with U.S.-based teams and leaders, including aligning across time zones, communicating progress and risks clearly, building trust remotely, and ensuring distributed teams stay connected to shared product, customer, and business outcomes.
A degree is not required if you can demonstrate equivalent practical experience, strong product design leadership, and a track record of developing teams and shipping impactful work.
Join us on this design leadership journey where creativity, user empathy, research, service design thinking, AI-first product design, and agentic innovation come together to improve productivity and simplify enterprise experiences across the Sprinklr platform.
