Senior Engineer Procurement Engineering Your role As a Procurement Engineer for Production Materials you will play acrucial role in the cost reduction in order to achieve an importantvalue contribution to Infineon, improving the Business result. You will also be responsible to drive benchmark strategies and analyze the global procurement markets. Moreover, you will be in close contact with other departments in your contact system in Wuxi, in Warstein (GER) and Cegléd(HU) based on your daily activity. Key responsibilities in your new role Initiate cost reduction measures in the product development processas well as in the optimization of specifications, ensuring standardization, modularization and the management of spare parts and resources (design for sourcing); Identify and implement the cost reduction potential through the application and further development of technical levels (such as cost analysis, value engineering or technical benchmarks); Analyze the Global Procurement markets and strive for forward-looking planning with regard to supplier selection and development with a focuson innovation potential (including the drafting of R&D suppliercontracts); Actively support the new and further technical development of the supplier portfolio and materials; Participate in the continuous improvement through inter disciplinary and cross-location cooperation (within the areas of R&D, Marketing, Logistics and Quality management). Your profile Your strong communication skills make you a great team player and allow you to establish efficient cooperation within different departments. You are interculturally versed and enjoy interaction with people from different backgrounds, being thrilled to work in a cross-functional global network of experts. You have a creative and continuous process improvement mindset and are used to carrying out regular supplier visits independently. Moreover, your exceptional negotiating skills and strong commercial understanding are your best allies in the achievement of excellence. Qualifications and skills to help you succeed An Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Material Science or other relevant fields) or industrial related fields. At least 3 year of experience in Procurement or other similar technical departments (ideally in the semiconductor/electrical industry). Affinity with Economical topics would be an advantage. Knowledge of quality techniques (e.g.: SD methodology, APQP) and standards, such as IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3. Fluency in Chinese and English.
