（Sr)Flavor Application Specialist

Join dsm-firmenich as a Flavor Application Specialist and help bring innovative nutrition, health and wellness solutions to customers across China. In this role, you will apply your flavor expertise to customer projects, product development and application testing, turning technical knowledge into solutions that support business growth. You will work closely with commercial, technical and cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, recommend the right flavor solutions and help deliver high-quality outcomes. Your key responsibilities

• Support customer projects by understanding needs, translating briefs into application work and contributing to quality technical solutions.
• Select, evaluate and recommend flavor solutions that meet customer, application, regulatory and cost requirements.
• Conduct flavor application tests and provide technical advice on formulation, sensory performance, tonality and mouthfeel.
• Act as a technical contact for selected customers, categories or projects, including preparing and delivering technical presentations.
• Collaborate with commercial, innovation, regulatory and other technical teams to develop ideas and support end-to-end project delivery.
• Follow all safety, health and environmental standards and actively support compliance in the application laboratory.

You Bring

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry or a related field.
• Relevant experience in flavor application, ideally including work with dietary supplement, pharmaceutical or medical nutrition products.
• Solid knowledge of flavor selection, application testing, formulation and product development processes.
• Good understanding of flavor-related regulatory requirements for relevant nutrition, health or pharmaceutical applications.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent Mandarin and basic English communication skills, with the ability to share technical information clearly.
