Description
The individual will be responsible for EMEA transaction reporting exception management, reconciliations, and cross asset metrics. The individual will be interacting with multiple operations stakeholders, legal, compliance and technology teams within the organisation for investigation of reporting and reconciliation exceptions, identify the root cause and run governance for resolution.
The individual will be part of a Run the bank (RTB) team for which the key roles and responsibilities are:
- The candidate will work with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across all disciplines within Operations and the firm to understand their priorities and align the outcome of the program with the organization's overall business goals.
- Good knowledge on multi jurisdiction Regulatory reporting and reconciliation exception investigation and material economic terms reconciliation investigation and governance & metrics.
- Monitoring daily regulatory exceptions and following the Exception management process as per requirement.
- Monitoring and governance of data quality, bad matches, upstream/downstream systemic issues, industry platform issues.
- Continuous focus on deep dive and fixing on multiple upstream and downstream system issues to keep breaks minimum.
- Analyses and exposes ambiguous or complex issues, identifies root causes, and proposes future actions.
- Ensure timely escalation of any issues to Operations, Management, and IT where appropriate.
- Improving controls in process & ensure 100% accuracy and compliance to regulatory rules.
- Good understanding of Automation platforms (Alteryx/Power apps/Ui Path)
- Manage any new analysis and requirement across multiple stakeholders.
- Interface with Industry forums to provide representation of the firm's requirements. i.e. Industry working groups.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for a resourceful and dedicated candidate who can deliver solutions in line with strategic initiatives and disseminate information to senior management and stakeholders.
Required
- Ability to interact and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong relationship management skills and the ability to manage conflict.
- Expertise in the trade lifecycle and the various downstream user requirements of trade and financial data
- Control and Risk focus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence to lead meetings.
- Self motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks and people
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented and ability to adhere to strict timelines.
Skills Preferred
- 6+ years' experience in the finance industry in a change environment
- Experience of managing a small team either locally or remotely
- Knowledge of accounting and basic terminologies used in the financial services sector.
- Knowledge of project management and change management principles.
- Knowledge of MS suite of products including (Project, Power point, Share point)
