Description
Position Summary
The Patient Resupply Specialist combines relationship-based sales, customer service, and patient education to help patients receive the equipment and supplies they need to improve their health and quality of life. Successful team members build lasting patient relationships, uncover needs, recommend solutions, and drive growth through ethical sales practices and exceptional service.
Compensation & Incentives
- Base pay: $23.00 per hour ($47,840 annually)
- Target annual commission opportunity: approximately $20,000
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $67,840 annually
- Uncapped commission structure with the opportunity to exceed target earnings

Responsibilities
- Build meaningful patient relationships that generate trust, loyalty, and recurring revenue opportunities.
- Proactively engage patients through outbound sales activities to drive recurring supply reorders and retention.
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to uncover patient needs and recommend medically appropriate products, supplies, and accessories.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through ethical cross-selling and upselling.
- Convert inbound patient inquiries into sales opportunities through needs discovery and solution-based selling.
- Conduct outbound sales, retention, and follow-up calls.
- Process recurring supply orders accurately and efficiently.
- Verify insurance benefits, authorizations, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document customer interactions.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to maximize patient outcomes and revenue opportunities.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proven success in an inside sales, customer retention, account management, or relationship-focused sales environment.
- Strong consultative selling, objection handling, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Results-oriented with the ability to achieve sales and productivity goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word.
Healthcare Knowledge Helpful, But Not Required
We believe great sales and customer service professionals come from many industries. We provide comprehensive healthcare-specific training for candidates with strong sales ability, relationship-building skills, and a desire to learn.
Experience That Will Help You Succeed (Not Required)
- One to three years of HME, medical supply, healthcare sales, or related industry experience is preferred. Strong inside sales experience is required, but it does not need to be within healthcare.
- Experience working in respiratory, home medical equipment, or healthcare environments is beneficial, but not required. Training will be provided.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance coverage is helpful; comprehensive training will be provided.
- Experience achieving sales, retention, customer engagement, or performance goals is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial but not required. Training will be provided.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
