Job Description:

The National Real Estate Group (NREG) is a specialized team within TD Commercial Banking focused on providing banking solutions for real estate development and construction projects. Partnering with developers, investors, and real estate professionals, NREG delivers customized financing solutions that support clients throughout the real estate lifecycle. Leveraging deep industry expertise, strong financial acumen, and relationship management excellence, the team delivers a best-in-class client experience while helping clients achieve their business objectives and long-term growth strategies.

As a Director, National Real Estate Group, you will manage a portfolio of NREG's largest and most complex real estate clients while driving business development activities with high-potential prospects. Reporting to the Unit Leader, with a dotted-line relationship to the Manager Commercial Services (MCS), you will provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to Account Managers and Customer Service Officers, supporting deal structuring, project financing, credit risk assessment, and portfolio management. You will play a key role in evaluating new banking opportunities, structuring sophisticated credit solutions, mitigating risk, and collaborating with internal partners, including Credit Risk Management and TD Securities, to deliver value-added solutions for clients.

This position is responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with existing customers by identifying opportunities to deliver relevant, value-added financial products and services. Acting as a key point of contact, the incumbent coordinates and facilitates engagement with business partners to provide seamless customer solutions. The role also focuses on building new client relationships through referrals and other business development activities. In addition, the Director is expected to actively participate in industry and community events to enhance both their professional profile and the Bank’s presence and reputation within the market.

The ideal candidate brings an undergraduate degree in business or a related discipline, a professional designation, and 6+ years of experience in commercial real estate lending, relationship management, credit risk management, or a related field. Success in this role requires exceptional relationship-building, business development, credit analysis, and negotiation skills, along with the leadership capabilities and sound judgment needed to manage complex client relationships and support long-term business growth.
