Buyer - Temporary

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Identifies new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

• Qualifies new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering Specialists.

• Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions. Adapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs.

• Analyzes and evaluates bids in order to determine the optimal value.

• Tracks goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing. Oversees supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time), and resolves performance issues.

• Initiates Purchase Orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors, and tracks supplier performance to PO requirements.

• Aligns supplier orders with customer requirements (based on ERP or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price.

Qualifications for the role

• You hold a Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Economy.

• You are at ease communicating in English and Italian;

• Good knowledge of MS Office (excel, access, word, ppt);

• Good knowledge of digital tools (Power BI, etc..) is considered a plus. Knowledge of main Mechanical technologies used in industrial processes would be a nice to have;

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage different tasks, good communication skills.

Compensation Package

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico  

Minimum annual salary: €33.000

Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
