WHY PATIENTS NEED YOU 

Migraine is a common, debilitating neurological disease affecting 40M people in the US.  Surprisingly, less than half of the 19.5M people living with Migraine are diagnosed.  Less than half of those diagnosed are treated on Rx therapy.  Nurtec ODT is the first and only oral CGRP receptor antagonist for the acute and preventive treatment of migraines.  Nurtec ODT is a blockbuster brand that changed the migraine treatment paradigm as the first therapy approved for both acute and preventive treatment. With new growth catalysts on the horizon and a hard-fought battle for share in prevention, the brand heads into 2027 with a clear opportunity and a real challenge to extend its leadership and cement a new standard of care.

 

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE 

The Nurtec HCP Marketing Director Secondment (6-8 Months) leads all digital and media strategy for Nurtec ODT, educating target HCPs on this priority brand's acute and preventive indications, supporting upcoming growth catalysts (e.g. new dosing regimen, new indications), and helping the brand extend its market leadership. 

 This role reports to the Nurtec HCP Team Lead. 


HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT

The Nurtec HCP Marketing Director Secondment (6–8 Months) will be accountable for Nurtec's HCP digital and media strategy, spanning insight discovery, strategy development, tactical planning, and performance evaluation across all digital and media channels. This role calls for a self-directed leader who proactively brings strategic ideas and innovation forward, translates insights into action, and moves quickly, yet strategically and thoughtfully, to deliver precise impact. 

 

This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and decision-making skills; change agility; and a proven track record of success working with multiple stakeholders, including the broader migraine team, media team, CMO, brand, medical, digital, RC, and agency partners.

  • Champion the continued evolution of the Nurtec HCP digital and media strategy, including:  
    • Paid, Owned, and Earned media management 
    • CRM and media trigger journeys 
    • CRM asset development 
    • Nurtec PfizerPro updates and management 
    • GEO/LLM pull-through to paid media channels 
    • Priming digital channels for new launch materials 
  • Migraine portfolio–level omnichannel execution in partnership with the Zavzpret digital and media team. 
  • Bring forward strategic ideas and innovative approaches independently, without waiting for direction, and turn insights into actionable plans. 
  • Thrive in a high-stakes, high-pressure environment, moving quickly while delivering confident, polished updates to senior leaders and the ELT, particularly on emerging areas such as LLM and GEO strategy. 
  • Partner with CMO, ISS, and analytics colleagues to measure omnichannel performance, enabling faster pivots and testing of new approaches that drive greater HCP engagement and education. 
  • Partner with Access to pull through messaging across digital and media tactics. 
  • Lead and mentor team members, holding self and team accountable for deliverables and performance while fostering a positive culture. 
  • Own the Nurtec HCP digital budget and manage digital agency partners.


QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have


  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 8+ years of experience.
  • 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience including marketing.
  • Non-Personal Promotion (NPP) and cross functional agency management experience required.  
  • Demonstrated success executing complex marketing programs. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with varied internal stakeholders to improve business performance. 
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement and of influencing business outcomes across diverse functional boundaries. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage advertising and other agencies to produce communications that impact business performance. 
  • Solid business acumen and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management. 
  • Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented; creative. 
  • Experience with product positioning and branding is required. 
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively both one-on-one and in groups. 
  • Self-motivated and a team player. 
  • Demonstrated analytical skills. 
  • Ability to effectively lead and influence an indirect team. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver results on multiple, complex, competing projects in a deadline-oriented environment. 
  • Ability to effectively lead a collaborative team environment. 
  • Must be driven by success. 
  • Must be able to organize multiple projects over time. 
  • Strong Presentation skills:  Experience with presentations to large group using a variety of media. 
  • Agency or vendor management experience required.

Nice-to-Have


  • Master's degree with at least 7+ years of experience; OR a PhD with 5+ years of experience, OR a MD with 4+ years of experience.
  • Director-level experience preferred, given the need to ramp up quickly and adapt to evolving business priorities. 
  • Previous in-line US Marketing experience preferred.
  • Primary Care and Migraine experience preferred but not required.
