Overview
The Supply Network Planning Specialist - NPD Export is responsible for coordinating end-to-end supply network planning activities for new product development, product launches, renovation, packaging changes, phase-in/phase-out, and export market expansion. The role works closely with Export Market PICs, R&D, E&M, QFS, Export-Import, Logistics, Manufacturing, Procurement, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning teams to ensure launch readiness, supply continuity, master data readiness, export compliance readiness, inventory deployment, and on-time execution. This is a project-based planning role separated from the routine Supply Planning / MRP Specialist role, with the proposed L4 level due to comparable complexity, stakeholder impact, and business risk ownership.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate supply network planning activities for NPD, product launch, renovation, packaging change, phase-in/phase-out, and export market launch projects.
- Develop and follow up launch supply plans, including demand assumptions, production feasibility, material availability, inventory build, deployment, logistics readiness, and first shipment readiness.
- Track project milestones and highlight supply risks that may impact launch timelines, first production, first shipment, service level, inventory exposure, or export compliance.
- Act as the planning contact point for NPD Export projects and coordinate with Export Market PICs, R&D, E&M, QFS, Export-Import, Logistics, Manufacturing, Procurement, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning.
- Coordinate customer, material, BOM, planning parameter, and export-related master data setup to ensure SAP master data readiness before production and shipment milestones.
- Review demand assumptions and ensure sufficient supply coverage for new products and export markets during launch and post-launch stabilization period.
- Coordinate production plans, initial stock build, finished goods deployment, logistics requirements, and shipment readiness for export products.
- Identify supply shortages, excess inventory, slow-moving / obsolete risk, phase-in / phase-out risk, and propose mitigation actions proactively.
- Coordinate closely with QFS and Logistics teams to ensure product quality and documentation readiness are in line with Vietnam regulations and export country requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Export-Import and Logistics teams to ensure export process compliance and prevent shipment delay, product return, or market compliance issue.
- Monitor launch performance after first production and first shipment, then capture lessons learned and continuous improvement actions for future NPD Export planning.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Project Coordination, NPD, Export, or related roles, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in new product launches, export business, commercialization, packaging changes, or phase-in/phase-out management is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems and planning tools. SAP experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of forecasting, inventory management, production planning, supply planning, master data, and export execution dependencies.
