The Traditional Channel Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing an outsourced sales team across a broad and complex territory covering Valledupar, Southern La Guajira, and Southern Cesar. This role ensures the effective implementation of marketing and trade marketing strategies across traditional retail, drugstores, out-of-home consumption, and mini-markets. With a 70% field and 30% administrative split, the supervisor evaluates sales performance, designs territory-specific strategies, manages customer data and route optimization, assigns and monitors Sell Out quotas, and ensures accounts receivable collection. The position demands constant mobility between towns, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to engage and motivate a third-party team to achieve sales objectives and numeric distribution targets for key brands.
Job specific requirements
- Minimum 2 years of commercial experience in consumer goods, specifically in the traditional channel.
- Proven ability to lead sales teams, with a strong focus on field execution and results.
- Strategic business vision with planning and follow-up capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
- High energy and drive.
- Negotiation skills and ability to motivate outsourced teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level or above).
- Must have own vehicle (car).
- Availability to work Monday through Friday full-time and Saturday half-day.
- Willingness to travel between towns within the assigned territory (same-day round trips).
- English is a plus but not required.
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
