ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support product evaluation through golf club measurements, robot testing, player testing, and lab analysis.
- Prepare clubs, components, and test samples for evaluation by reviewing work orders and confirming test requirements.
- Operate specialized testing equipment including the golf robot, launch monitors, measurement systems, and lab tools.
- Collect, process, and track test data using Excel, statistical software, and R&D databases.
- Assist with equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and test setup improvements.
- Support cross-functional testing needs while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe testing environment.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, accurate data entry, and basic statistical understanding.
- Ability to read, understand, and execute requests from a work order.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, test areas, and equipment in a changing priority environment.
- General understanding of golf equipment and product performance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized equipment.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-high school coursework, technical training, or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of technician experience preferred.
- Previous R&D, lab, product testing, golf equipment, or mechanical testing experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is performed in professional office, lab, and outdoor at the Ely Callaway Performance Center.
- Extensive use of computers, software, office equipment, test equipment, and measurement tools.
- Frequently required to stand while performing tests or measurements.
- Frequently required to kneel, bend, or work around equipment and test setups.
- Flexibility to work occasional early mornings or later workdays based on testing needs is desirable.
- May be exposed to loud noise during testing.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
