Senior Demand & Supply Planner

Position Summary: The Senior Demand and Supply Planner leads advanced forecasting, inventory management, and production scheduling using Netstock as the primary predictive planning tool. This role supports both manufactured and distributed products across a growing $300 million business.

The position focuses on using Netstock as the primary tool to provide data-driven insights to optimize inventory, reduce stock outs, and minimize excess stock. You are expected to set the necessary controls to balance inventory levels, reduce and prevent excess stock, optimize production runs, maintain strong customer fill rates, and reduce holding costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, as well as other duties that may be assigned.

Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP)

• Utilize Netstock's capacity and reporting views to lead monthly cross-functional SIOP/S&OP review sessions.

Advanced Demand Planning & Forecasting

• Build advanced demand forecasts using historical sales, anticipated market trends, and statistical models using Netstock’s Demand Planning tool.
• Manage rolling 24-month demand planning forecasts within Netstock using its advanced statistical algorithms and machine learning features.
• Track location forecast accuracy and run root-cause analysis on major variances.

Inventory Management

• Set optimal safety stock levels, reorder points, and lot sizes for distributed and manufactured goods.
• Balance working capital goals with Fill Rate (product availability) targets.
• Review slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory and drive clearance or assist with mitigation plans. Particular attention needs to be placed on Surplus Orders.

Netstock Platform Management & Data Integrity

• Serve as the functional system administrator and internal subject matter expert (SME) for Netstock and for setting the controls to meet the company’s inventory objectives.
• Monitor daily Netstock AI recommendations related to changes needed to the planning layer. Netstock Platform Management & Data Integrity

• Monitor daily Netstock data refreshes to ensure seamless alignment between our central ERP transaction data and the planning layer.
• Oversee Netstock’s matrix classification engine, segments, and matrices, managing the regular alignment of items to their classification targets for stocked and non-stock items.
• Audit the system for un-forecasted demand spikes, data anomalies, and supplier lead-time variances. Use the Demand planning module to remove these outliers.

Production Planning

• Create detailed master production schedules (MPS) for internal manufacturing.
• Coordinate with FAB managers to consider plant capacity, material availability, and labor constraints to hit production targets.
• Work with business and FAB managers to resolve bottlenecks and adjust schedules when demand shifts.

Supply & Master Production Scheduling (MPS)

• Leverage Netstock's order recommendation engine to generate predictive purchase orders, work orders, and distribution transfer orders across our multi-warehouse network.
• Align the Bill of Materials (BOM) logic and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) links within Netstock to smoothly coordinate component raw materials with production runs.
• Account for structural constraints such as container optimization target volumes, supplier minimum order quantities (MOQ), and look-forward planning days.
• Actively track supplier performance metrics in Netstock to adjust safety stock buffers in response to real-world vendor delivery risk.

Supply and Distribution Planning

• Manage replenishment plans for finished goods across third-party warehouses and distribution centers.
• Netstock Platform Management & Data Integrity
• Serve as the functional system administrator and internal subject matter expert (SME) for Netstock.
• Monitor daily Netstock data refreshes to ensure seamless alignment between our central ERP transaction data and the planning layer.
• Audit the system for un-forecasted demand spikes, data anomalies, and supplier lead-time variances.
• Monitor supplier performance and lead times to prevent stockouts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables, and data modeling
• Proficiency in standard office and database programs/equipment
• Proficiency in ERP systems integrated with demand planning tools
• Ability to manage large data sets, interpret trends, and translate insights into clear operational plans
• Strong understanding of statistical forecasting, dynamic safety stock calculations, replenishment logic, SKU classification, and exception-based planning
• Ability to anticipate disruptions and plan for future demand rather than merely reacting to shortages
• Meticulous approach to reviewing data, adjusting safety stocks, and managing SKU parameters
• Strong aptitude for solving replenishment issues and optimizing complex supply chains

Education and Experience: (Required and preferred educational and experiential qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 5+ years’ experience in supply chain planning in a manufacturing or distribution environment, including hands-on use of Netstock or a comparable demand planning tool
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification, or relevant Netstock training credentials, are preferred
